Fonts 101

Hey jammers! Panda here, with a brand-new tutorial! You guys seem to really be learning a lot from and thoroughly enjoying the other tutorials, so it only made sense to create more!

In this post, we'll be covering the basics of fonts!

Of course, many of you probably already know what a font is--almost everyone does. But today, we'll be covering more than just the basic definition of a font! We'll be learning about all of the different types of fonts, different typography settings, how to pair fonts, and websites to turn to for great font resources and tools.

Sound cool?

Awesome! Let's get right on into this epic tutorial!

How to Make a Custom "Grab My Button!" Image & Code For Your Blog! (In-depth instructions!)

Hi there jammers! Panda here!

In this handy tutorial, I'll be teaching you how to create a custom button and code for your blog! I've been making these for awhile as commissions for AJGC, but so many of you have asked how to make them, so I decided to make a tutorial on the very subject! ^.^

In case you're unsure of what a blog button is, it is essentially a little gizmo like this one:

Animal Jam Graphic Central

Viewers of your blog can copy and paste the code given in the box above into their own blogs, and a button will appear on their blog supporting your blog! It's a nice way to spread the word about your site.

Here's a brief overview of what we'll be covering:

  • How to create a button
  • How to create the code for the button
  • How to install the button into a sidebar or page/post
It's all very easy! :D

Shall we get into it?

How to Use Hex Code Colors!

Hey, jammers! ^.^ Panda here!

So, this tutorial marks the very first of the (hopefully... :P) many tutorials I'll be posting on here to help you commissioners and students learn how to make even BETTER edits!

But without any further ado... let's get right on into this tutorial!

Firstly, a hex code (or hexadecimal code, if you want to get all fancy-schmancy :P) is a string of 6 letters and/or numbers that represent a certain color. For example, the hex code for black is #000000, and the hex code for white is #ffffff. But if you'd like to see an example of a more advanced hex color code, the hex code for this shade of aquamarine is #00CED1.

But how do these confusing little codes come in handy?
